North American Martyrs school has implemented the RVS Broadcasting System to notify our families of important information or circumstances that affect our school schedule. The student's home phone number and the mother and father cell phone numbers that you supplied on your Emergency Care Card are entered into this system and used to deliver these important messages.  We recognize that families might prefer that we use alternate contact information, if these phone numbers are not suitable for your family's situation. If you prefer to use fewer or alternate phone numbers, you may communicate your preference by completing the following form and sending it into the school office.

Telephone Broadcasting Alternative Phone Preferences Form

Please know that we respect your time and we do not wish to be overly disruptive to your familiy, so you have our commitment that this system will not be used in a frivolous manner.

In addition, information on school delays and closings will be communicated to the WTAE, KDKA and WPXI television broadcasting stations for inclusion in their news programs.

Our school follows the Gateway School District in their decision to delay, dismiss early or close school due to inclement weather. There may be a rare emergency occassion when our school would change our school day schedule due to conditions specific to our school.

If you would like to receive an email or text message notifying you that the weather has affected the school day, you may elect to do so from from the WTAE website.  If you want the earliest notification, you may choose to receive Gateway School District information.  However, on those rare occassions when our schedule might be different than that of Gateway, you should also choose to receive information about North American Martyrs School.
